Well you can start with the motor and trans. Also if the car was an automatic you might have some issues. Especially if you are putting a TII motor in there. A S5 N/A motor will enough work as it is but if you want a complete TII swap the parts are going to be more expensive not to mention its best if you replace the rear diff.

lol ok everybody, i guess i should have started with the parts i already plan on getting and that i have searched in the FAQ and not found exactly what im looking for anyways on top of that to be more specific im putting a s5 t2 motor in my 91' NA.
here are the parts already on my list:
t2 complete motor
t2 tranny all complete driveline w/ starter
afm
silicone hose kit to re-do all vac lines
t2 engine harness
t2 ecu
t2 throttle cable
t2 hood so top mount will get enough air
and i think thats everything i have found that i need to get.
now as far as labor, i know obviously putting the motor in(duh) but then ill have to wire up the knock sensor and then am i good to go? and how do i wire up knock sensor? thanks for any help and please dont flame. -mike
