PLEASE HELP with ignition problems!
;
I tried to post the above jpg with the other jpg that was successfully sent. This one shows how it was meant to be combined with the other.
My interlock went **** up years ago. I just spliced the Black/Red to the BG (black/green) and all was well again.
If you ran the Black/Red to the starter.....it shoulda worked just fine.
Your probably right then. Its shorting at the starter or where you tied the new wire into the black/red.
Only thing I can think of doing real quick....is to disconnect the wire from the starter, put a meter on the connector on that wire....turn the key to ON and see if you have 12v approx. NO 12v??? Then pull the ignition switches plug (one of three) that has the two wires, one black and the other black/white. See if the Black wire coming from the engine bay has 12v. No 12v there? Then go to the single connector about six inches below the engine fuse box and see if it's connected. Not connected??? Connect it. Connected? Then pull that single connector apart and see if there is 12v on the part coming from the engine fuse box. No 12v?? Then get your 10 mm box wrench out and replace the 80amp fuse (disconnect the battery first).
EDIT: This site will not pass ISO2001 Mr.MOderator. Get on the stick.
