Question Please help identify this connector...

I haven't found a place to plug this in, but then again I'm not sure it actually "has a home". It may just be something for testing a problem, but either way if you know what it is show me where it plugs in please.

Thanks,
K

Manual of course

But here is the problem with what rotarymarine has shown me...I don't have that part on my car. You can see in the picture that there isn't anything on my thermostat housing in that spot.

I've attatched a really really old picture (I think it's from '01-02 or so) to show that I never had anything in that spot even then. Any other guesses where it could go. I know it goes somewhere because I remember attatching it a long time ago. I just can't figure out where it goes right now for some reason.

Thanks again guys,
K

Forgive me, I should've said that this is an S4 N/A ('86) by the way and not a turbo like rotarymarine has. This thing is really making me go crazy right now...I'm pretty damn sure I've used it before so please help me get this thing back where it belongs.

But do you have any idea of where it actually goes? I thought i was just a connector for some trouble shooting or something (which makes sense to me), but wasn't really sure. I just decided to go through all of the engine bay pics I could find on my laptop and not a single one had the same piece that rotarymarine had...I knew that thing looked strange. Either way thanks Slpin I really appreciate it. If somehow someone does find a spot for it to plug into shoot me a PM or something.

Thanks again,
K

P.S.
Now I can actually sleep peacefully
