Angry Please Help 88 Rx7 Wont Start

Hi I own a 88 Mazda RX7 GXL 13b non turbo. Ok heres whats going on. Gas is comming up to my fuel rail but the injectors are not spraying. I got a new ECU, they still were not spraying. I tested the injectors there not colged. The fuel injector relay is fine. The fuel injector opening circuite realy is also fine. Both were tested. All my fuses are fine. Now I'm lost Ive tried everything. The car turns over when i soak the thing with starting fuid. Also like I said gas is comming up throught the fuel rail but the injectors wont spray. Also the ECU was from an 87 not an 88 but i was told as long as both cars were manual I wouldn't have a problem. Please help I'm out of ideas anything will be of great help.

Thank you

Damian,
Did the wire plug right into the injector without any problems?
I thought there was a difference in the impedance on the injectors between '87 and '88 and that the plugs have a notch that matches to the corresponding injector.
(not 100% sure about this others please confirm) The ecu would also be different to drive the injector. I think the one with the low impedance injector has a resistor wired in at the ECU.

I think the 87 vs 88 ecus are different in that they drive differnent impedance injectors.
