I feel that very recently, sniper_x did a great job of summing up the way a lot of us view "ricers" and the definition @ https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=102773 basically, a ricer is someone who puts mods on their cars to make it look fast, i.e., a 3 ft high double spoiler on street legal car, a big "type R" sticker on anything other than a real, type R... yes, i'm talking to you people who own KIAs and NEONS! YOU DO NOT HAVE A TYPE R

some other sources of info:
http://www.ricecop.com
http://www.riceboypage.com/

hope this helps

Actually, there are at least 3 different ways to look at it.
1. Many people that drive American Muscle describe anyone that drives an import as a "ricer".
2. "Ricer" can be used to describe someone that's car is all show and no go.
3. "Ricer" can be used to describe someone that's car is shittilly modified cosmetically, a huge *** wing, over-used mods (altezzas, neons, stickers, etc). This goes along with having logos of ocmpanys that's products you don't even have (Logos in general ar ricey though).

the only excuse for logos is getting sponsored by companies, because, hey, they're paying you... but it's still ricey.. oh, check out beaterz.com

ok My car isnt all that great, the paint is fading, there are some dents, and some other things wrong with it. I am in the porcess of getting all those things fixed! I am also in a Car Club called New Images. I have some neons on my car, not many, im gonna put underbody neons on next, Im replacing my interior, got some beat, but my main goal is to make her faster, not look faster but actually be faster. My car has a stock spoiler on it, one of the super wings, god its ugly but i dont want one of those "robot wings" as my gf calls them, the ones that u can adjust your self or are self adjusting. With all this done and being done to my "baby" would it be considered a RICER????

If you mean what you say, you should skip getting 'underbody neons' and start by putting on, say, a good cone-shaped K&N air filter. We are here to help and to keep kids off rice.

You have to remove the stock airbox. First though, you have to buy an adapter plate to hook the air flow meter onto the existing bracket. The air filter will fit right onto the AFM. Also, get a breather filter to put on the air pump because you remove the hose connecting it to the air box. Remove the air intake duct. Then the air box comes off by removing 3 mounting bolts. It's a little easier to show with pictures, but unfortunatly I don't have any. Get a Haynes manual for an Rx-7 as it is sometimes useful. If you need more info just post your questions.
