planning to upgrade my whole fuel system

ok as far as i know, i need the walboro 255 fuel pump, injectors and an ems. i just bought the haltech e6x from el nene on this forum. is there anything else i need to buy to upgrade my fuel system? i have a 1988 TII, looking for about 400 whp in the end.

whats a good site to buy my injectors from and what brand is good?
i did some searching and i think i may be going for 720cc primaries and 1000 or 1600 secondarys. and whats a good site to buy the walboro from?

also how do i know if i need to get high impedence or low impedence injectors?

as far as high or low imp, ask the haltech section...i know that microtechs the imp does not matter...as long as the injetors are the same per bank.

I purchased my walbro off ebay...but search around rx7 sites and they will have what you need.

A good site for injectors is www.injector.com RC engineering is a very reputable brand of injector, along with bosch, i think people have ahd problems with vemon brand

Do you plan on getting new fuel rails? If so make sure you buy the proper size injector(not talking cc's here). Look on injector.com and you will see how they have them listed as american or japanese, american are a bigger diameter top while the jap (stock size) are smaller.

Good luck.

A walbro of ebay is about $100, RC Engineering injectors are good, it is what I am running.

How are your fuel lines? Some people prefer to upgrade to steel braided lines.

It isn't required. It is just precautionary. With steel braided lines, there are ups and downs.

Quality ones are awesome to have, expensive, but awesome. They give you added security with fuel line durability.

Cheaping out on steel braided lines is idiotic though. I have read a lot of stories of poorly made lines being less durable than the stock ones.

Hmm..lets see now..you are going to Put More pressure into your Stock lines..Seeing that the Lines are OLD,and COULD leak,I would say that Putting a Pump onto your car that would be sufficient to Put out a Small Forest fire, would most likely Benefit with a Nice New sturdy Clean(maybe Braided to add strength) Gas line to Deliver fuel to your Nice New Upgraded Power house in the engine bay. It's a Win/WIN..you Have a Nice delivery system, the engine gets the fuel it needs, without Leaking and starting a Blaze..And that Is why you should get Good Gas lines!.heh.(Good Luck man.)

You should get larger fuel lines, a high-flow fuel filter, and a good fuel pressure regulator. SX / Aeromotove makes good products. Use 3/8" OD hard fuel lines for the majority of the car, and -6 fittings/braided hoses in places that require flexing.

KG Parts sells good fuel injectors like Siemens and Bosch, plus injector clips, fuel rails, etc., for rotary engines.

Assuming .65 BSFC, you are going to need about 4040cc/min in total fuel injector ratings to support 470bhp, so the 1000cc secondaries will not be big enough with the 720cc primaries.

Low impedance (peak and hold) have better performance. High impedance (saturated) are generally less expensive.
