I really wouldn't use that JB weld on any part of the housing. If you suspect it too pitted, get another housing and don't half *** the rebuild. JB weld tends to crack like hardened clay over time. As for the O-ring grooves, use HYLOMAR. It fills in gaps and stays in it's gel form. If you use silicone, get ones that stays soft and resists automotive fluids.

Those small holes aren't going to hurt anything. The Hylomar should be filling those anyway. Use the small brush and paint the hylomar down into the groves.

The reason i used jb weld on the housing is because they only have 9k miles on them and it said it was ok in the ra rebuild vid .. i just used very little and sanded it down... i will not put any in the irons due to what you guys said..

It's pitted after only 9000 miles?? I guess they used old housings?
Whatever the case is, you should use distilled water and coolant instead of tap water. Never ever use straight tap water as it will corrode aluminum very quick. Some parts have high mineral content in tap water so they shouldn't be used where aluminum is present.
Coolant also breaks down over time and that should be changed yearly.
I'd get 2 tubes of HYLOMAR and fill in the o-ring grooves as well as all engine parts requiring sealant. They're easy to work with since it stays tacky. Be careful when you install the housings together as it sticks to everything it touches.
