Pinion seal

Ok i got my car up on a lift today and i noticed a big leak where my drive shaft meets the diff. this is the pinion seal right? if it is...is it easy to change...i asked some guys and they said it wasnt to bad with air tools. well any advise will help.

Man, don't quote me on this, but I think it can be changed without tearing much apart, kind of like the tranny rear seal...Repeat, not sure about this, though...

Hey- that's a damn good idea, why didn't I think of that, lol...

OK, S4 here, S5's should be similar...Looks like you need a "bearing puller shaft" to remove the "companion flange" first, before you can get to the seal...
