pilot bearing gone bad?

symptoms: 1) hard to shift into first or reverse and somtimes 2nd. 2) hard to shift out of first or reverse into nuetral(shifter gets stuck). 3) Does not have any problems when car is cold, only when it is warmed up. 4) chirping noise every now and then when I am stuck in 1st or reverse.

-I have my engine pulled right now due to other problems and I have very easy access to the pilot bearing, so should I replace it? Sound like thats the problem?

thanks - kev

actually, it's kind of the opposite. the only time is chirps is when I have the clutch pushed in and I am trying to get the shifter out of either first or reverse. and one more thing, i have no problems downshifting through gears, only shifting up.
