piggybacking the stock ecu

i know from experience that a jdm ecu doesnt like to work for the engine swaps, but could if i had it chipped by rtek or knight sport, would it work then?
if memory serves correctly from reading, it will..but id rather not waste all the money on it and just be disappointed.

When I was trying to learn about my KnightSport ECU, I read that it will indeed make JDM ECUs work for US. Don't know about Rtek though, but I would assume the same.

from what I remember a stock n374 is not compatible for Rtek, but a stock n374 can be chipped by a japanese tuner such as knightsport and work with USDM FCs
