Piecing together a new exhaust system. Questions!!
ok so im trying to put together a new exhaust system for an 86 na.
mine is completely rusted out including the converters so this is what i was thinking.
i have (or plan on buying this weekend):
racing beat header
new stock replacement y-pipe.
now im assuming that RB header will not line up to the stock y pipe so im going to have to put some pipe inbetween the header and y-pipe. Is that the case?? im going completely catless.
Also any suggestions on what mufflers to use?? and how loud will this be?
Also i keep hearing about the cats providing the backpressure to open 5th/6th ports. Since i wont have cats i heard something about wiring them open? can someone explain this to me??
This is my first rotary project so i hope someone can provide me with some good info.
thanks.
