Pics of swapped T2 track car...fully updated!!
I thought I could edit my old post so this will be the new one that is properly done and I will come back with updates of the progress, dyno results, and time results from the local tracks!
Well I have had this car for one year...haven't put 1 mile on it but its about ready for its first run. As for now the plan is to autocross a few times and an occasional drift session or two. Once I feel comfortable in the new car then I will take it out to VIR and Summit Point and begin taking my HPDE classes.

)
OK sooo enough of that.....here are some pics!

my roomates carb'd GTU and my turbo SE

Random pics........my roomates fathers daily driver (blue A4) and my daily driver (Silver A4 with full OEM RS4 conversion)

my old turbo honda which was sold for the FC....$5,500 invested after initial 1k purchase price (it was ugly when I got it) ran 13.3@106 with full interior (leather) and a 2.6 60' due to open diff and 175/60/13 tires LOL

I hope you guys appreciate the hard work I put into my cars. It is a real passion of mine and I try to build things with taste and functionality.
Like I said before I will be back with more pics of the build and tons of info on results such as track times and dyno numbers.

haha, Kroger card savings goes a long way man!
naww I'm kidding. I suffered for 5 years of school to get a Mechanical engineering degree, with a math minor. I was broke as hell, but I got lucky enough to get a really nice job at an engineering company. So thats about that.

Looks like a fun car.
You mentioned you may want to get some wider fenders in the future. I have a group buy that ends in a few weeks on some very wide and unique fenders for the fc. Many pics in my sig and a link to the group buy.

Rx-Heaven, I saw your fenders...very nice but a bit too much for what I am looking for. I dont need to go that wide. 30+ is what I am looking at to run a 16x10 R and 16x8.5 F setup.
I really love the A4 but I have the 2.8 30V V6. I couldnt justify having two turbo cars, its too temping to modify. The V6 is a lot more reliable. Just make sure the control arm bushing have been replace as well as the timing belt and water pump if you are getting one with 60k miles or more.
I was just talking today to my friend about the cage. I want to be able to drive it on the street from time to time so I may opt for a half cage. If I eventually make it into the competition racing then the Door gaurds and A-piller bars can be welded on at that point.
Well I just finished up evertything today onthe car minus a battery and the Haltech wires for the coils, ignition, and coolant sensor...so once I get that straight its 2 weeks till auto-X!

I can say that my roomates carb'd rx-7 is gutted like mine and doesnt get very hot. He has not been on a full circuit track yet at sustained high speeds, but auto-xing was not a problem, or driving on the road. So hope that helps with your decision.
OK it has been a while but I completely finished the haltech install and the motor is back together. I am registering the car tomorrow so I can move it out of its one year resting spot. Then I can weld on my mid pipe and bov pipe.
Tomorrow I will have some videos and much better pics.
Where can I upload that wont shrink them down like imagestation? These pics where huge!

S5 full swap in progress

Haltech wires hidden

btw I am selling my Gotti racing wheels. 16" 2 piece so I can install my 5-lug setup.
listing is in the for sale section.

Ok I have been promising videos, my camera was acting up. but friday I will have a day off work to go drive.
The car is damn quick spinning through 1st and all through 2nd.
I think you guys will fall in love with the exhaust, it sounds so smooth and not raspy like most exhausts.
I am working on much better detailed pics but I still cant find a host that doesnt resize the pictures.
