Would anyone be intertested in going in on a group buy one some gauges like these, speedhut.com will make custom gauges if we can get 20 people together.
Oh, and i'm talking about making reverse indiglo gauges like the first ones posted, but for s4 instead of s5. I think the first ones have a real quality look to them, makes the gauges look sophisticated not RICEY!

The other suggestion i had was to inquire about gauges that are reverse indiglo (the numbers glow not the face) but have a black face, and really vivid bright red numbers, like the new AUDIs.. I dont know if you guys have seen the audi gauges, but they look AWESOME. also, the numbers could show up white on a black background during day, and bright red at night, very cool.

so i guess im asking if i could get 20 people to go in on a group buy?

Depending on price I might go in. Also when payment is due (gotta go get a job ). But I would really rather the back on them be black, with light blue numbers that illuminate to even brighter #s when you turn the lights on (my interior is blue, red would look shitty imo).

You should check out that company and see if they are willing to make the colors different, but same style of gauges.

 

Yes, they'll make different fonts and colors. they just have to get enough torders to justify making a whole new template and all the tools.

 

This is not exactly what you want but ……

A cheap mod I did before I got my indiglo gauges was to replace the illumination cluster bulbs with red bulbs.

At night the gauges would light up red and the needle even looked red (not orange-red like I thought they would before I tried it)

There is around 5 bulbs in the cluster for the illumination and red bulbs can be found at Pepboys or any other “Rice” shop but there was one small bulb that in the cluster that I could not find in red so I took some taillight repair tape and wrapped it around the bulb.


It worked great …. the only reason I changed it was I wanted “blue” Illumination and I thought the White gauges would looked good in my convertible because it’s white with black interior.

 

I'd be down for red.

 

just a thought on the reverse indiglos now that i have them installed...

i think i may paint the needles with some kind of luminesent paint. can't see them worth a damn in the dark since they don't light up but are lit by bulbs behind the panel. if you leave in the original bulbs in then you won't get the cool looking reverse indiglo look at night (since you'll have other light in there on the faces) so you're in a pickle.

 

if it glowed orange and it was in metric i woudl buy.

 

Yeah I want the speedo in km/h too.. Black backgroud, blue numbers and a blue glow.

I have the same ones. They look cool. I painted the needles red. First I used a sharpie pen after a while the ink faded. then I decided to used car model paint and it looks good.

Rember though, they already make the ones pictured in the frist thread for the s5's, i'm looking to get together people for s4's.

And yes, i'll be asking primarily about bright red font on black background, or maybe a charcoal coloerd background, thatd' look cool too.

 

I'd try do something like that if they looked nice and were for S4... keep me posted man!

I'd go as high as $100.00 for good quality stuff. The EL (electro luminescent) sheeting that makes them glow is fairly expensive, even at wholesale.

 

all of those look pretty nice, too bad I can't afford pretty things like that at the moment.
