Nice, although technically it's not bored out, since the throttle bores are still the same size.

sweet, let us know how it goes, all the advantages and disadvantages, and if it can still pass smog, i doubt it tho, but im thinking bout doing this to my car too, might pick up a TB from the junkyards, so i can have a race TB and a stock one for emissions test. =)

This would have no effect on emissions.

Do a search for BDC, he does a nice job on those...
Also those lumps in the primary throttle blade area not hollow or tapped, you can grind the lumps away so the whole thing is symetrical..Max

Are you reffering to the little cylindrical tube sticking up on the right side? Because I was not sure if that was hollow and I sure as hell didnt want to find out.oh and nz technically it is bored out I took it down like 3 mm to get rid of the ridge on top

The secondary plates in place of the primaries or as secondaries?

I know what you're saying, but when people refer to "boring out" a throttle body they mean removing the throttle blade, enlarging the diameter of the bore on a lathe, and the installing a bigger throttle blade. It's a pretty common technique, but I've never seen anyone do that to a 3-barrel Mazda TB. The bores are so close together there's not enough metal there to make a worthwhile improvement this way.

How do you plan to do that exactly?
