Performance report, RB cat replacement pipe vs Bonez cat

Okay more test reports here. Test cars are once again 90 GXL and 91 Coupe. Both have RB cat back and a stock type K&N filter with a cut open intake cover. His car has 140K i think, me 160K. The only difference is that he has a new cat replacement pipe from RP, I have a Bonez high flow cat.

Well we went on a highway, we both lined up in 3rd gear doing about 3500 rpm or so. On the count of 3, we both punched it. Both cars remained close to each other. We were dead even until around 6000 rpm when it start to inch up. The higher the RPM got, the faster it got. I think we got up to around 7300 when we backed off. He had about half a car length on me at the time. We did it once again up the hill, except his pulls out even faster. Out of my estimation, I think doing a full 3rd gear run (3500-8000). he can get about 1 car length on me exactly.

haha vosko, englishtown is too far for me, but I will go to dyno this thursday and get myself ready for the drag race at lebanon in april. I will compare time slips with your GTU since i cant make it down. If the G-tech is accurate, i will really be happy since it has me at 15.7

my gtech was completely wrong when i tested it! i don't think your gonna run 15.7 more like 16.1 or 16.2 from my experience..... my car pulls VERY VERY hard ask erik and i barely managed a 15.987. nopistnsnoprblm did get a 15.98 with his base but that only weighs 2550lbs and 2700 with him in it. my gtu weighs about 3050 with me in it that's a BIG difference. just food for thought. my T2 is gonna wind up being pretty light VERY soon

Sometimes the gtech is accurate, sometimes it isnt. Depends onm where it is. But no matter what I got, I really want to put it to the dyno and do 135-140rwhp. Let see if i can improve from a 127rwhp after 1000 worth of mods
