Question performance questions??????????

1.) im curious if this intake will work on a 1989 TII even though they say it doesnt work?http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1876075940

2.) what is the best electric fan to use for converting over from the stock fan and clutch, i heard that an old MR2 has a good fan to go with?

3.) how does a manual boost controler work? and how can you make one yourself?

4.) does anyone know anything about this knight performance chip on ebay? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1875833000

5.) does anybody know if a 225/40/18 will fit on the front and rear of a 89 TII?

6.) curious if anyone has done any fab work to the intake from behind the fog light to there RX-7?

7.) does anyone have a prefrence on oil they use in there rx?

I'll take 2, 4, 6, & 7.

I've never heard anything bad about the Black Magic electric fan from Summit or Jegs. Thats the best way to go.

A chip for $15 is a hoax IMO. If it were real it would be somewhere around $300 and up.

There are plenty of threads on some custom cold air intake jobs, cutting a hole in the front wall and leading the filter to the front of the car.

Castrol GTX.

Edit: Heres a good intake thread. Check the 2nd gen archives. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=36934

I'll take 3 and 5.

A manual boost controller is like a valve that you control by turning one way or the other. It bleeds boost from the wastegate which in turn causes the car to add more boost. Yes, you can make one. But the manufactured ones are inexpensive.

Yes the tire will fit. But I would recommend a 35 series and maybe shaving the inner edge of the fender, the part that stick out toward the tire. I have problems with that with my 17's.

Maybe. Im not sure if the AFM on turbo and NA cars are the same size.

I got mine off an 86 fiero or something. The shroud on the e-fan covered my entire rad. Dont get one that doesnt.

3.) how does a manual boost controler work? and how can you make one yourself?
It keeps the wastegate closed until a desired boost level, then it opens. Yes you can make them yourself.

Someone bought a real knightsport chip and is reproducing them. Dont expect anything if you install it.

5.) does anybody know if a 225/40/18 will fit on the front and rear of a 89 TII?
It should.

6.) curious if anyone has done any fab work to the intake from behind the fog light to there RX-7?
Quite a few people, its pretty easy.

7.) does anyone have a prefrence on oil they use in there rx?
Dino.

Well as long as the cone filter fits on the AFM you should have no problem with any intake. For S5s I believe you don't need an adaptor because you sort of have one stock. Take a look at it.
