Oh yeah, the answer is yes. A stock N/A can peel out. I thoroughly proved that Friday night at the drag strip, and today at the autocross.

I have an 88 vert....I tried the method of reving to 6k and dumping the clutch in second gear, and it took off normally.....But the catch here is that i recently had the cluth replaced in March...So WTF??? Why cant i peel out...
Seriously...it only happens if on wet pavement....usually only a chirp on dry pavement if that....CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHATS GOING ON.....

Yes N/A can spin the tires. Mine always could even when stock until the clutch whent. New clutch...back in business. When the clutch goes the clutch will spin and not the tires.
Spinning the tires on takeoff DOES help as long as no wheel hop. The power curve for the rotary is in the higher RPM. When magazines test the cars new....They spin the tires. Ever wonder what the difference between the "street start" and "standing start" is in car in driver magazine? Standing start...Lay rubber and is usually .5-1.0 sec quicker to 60mph.
OH, Spinning the tires...especially by just dropping or side stepping the clutch IS really hard on things. Don't do it unless you have a car in good condition or can afford to replace stuff.
