PCV Removal

Is it ok to remove my PCV? I have heard people tell me yes, and no. I think my purge control valve is malfunctioning causing oil to come into my TB. Will removing the PCV have any side-effects?

No problem with removing the Purge Control Valve, but make sure all 3 lines are capped - 2 are vacuum, the third is from the oil filler tube. Of course, there is still another line from the oil filler tube to the Inlet Duct between the AFM and the Throttle Body. Without PCV, the oil will end up there, if that is where it's coming from.

How about a small breather on the line coming from the oil filler tube? It seemed to work fine on my FB with no smog control. With it capped, water liked to condensate in the oil filler tube.

what I did was leave the PCV on, but capped off the the metal vaccuum spider dealio going to the PCV, and then capped off the plastic nipple on top of the PCV. This way, I could leave the PCV on, but effectively see what happens without it functioning, by removing all vacuum from it. Does this theory makes sense? So far, I have no seen any blue smoke on startup for 2 days now, and lately I had been seeing it any time I started my car when it was cold.
