PCV and charcoal canister routing question

Not to beat a dead horse with this, but in my research I have found may questions about this . the basic consensus is to run the 5/16 hose from the charcoal canister to a tee with one side going to the intermediate iron nipple and the other side to the intake with a check valve.
My question is if you run it before the throttle plates do you still need a check valve?
This is how I routed my system today and I did not seem to run into any issues.

Any info is appriciated
thanks
