passenger side dome light

'90 vert, stock

My dome light comes on when the driver's side door is opened, but if I open the passenger side door, the dome light won't come on.

Is there some kind of switch that has gone bad?

Does anyone know the reason for the light to come on when one door is opened but not for the other?
