Passenger Side Automatic Seatbelt...

Ok, finally bought my 89' TII and its sitting in my garage now. Didn't get the insurance and stuff done yet, so cant drive it cause it has no plates and stuff, but anyways, the seatbelt goes forward when you open the door, and back when you close it when you start the car, then when someone goes to get out again, it doesn't move. I'm not sure if thats the pattern it goes in cause it hasn't been driven around much since i got it. I heard something about a recall on the motors or something. Is that true? If it is, is it free under any warranty or anything, or how much do i have to pay to get it fixed? Thats if that is the problem.

I believe it is a lifetime recall by mazda and they should fix it for free. Call and make sure first though.

as covered countless times (yes, you should have searched) there is a lifetime recall on the S5 mouse belts.

Recall means that Mazda will pay the dealer to repair the system and bring it to operating condition.
