Exclamation Passenger footwell leak.

Hey guys. I've got a quick question.

If it rains really hard outside, there will be some water that leaks in from somewhere under the dash on the passenger side, behind the glove box I guess. It's never a whole ton of water, but enough to get it noticeably damp, and if I put a towel down, it'll hold most, if not all, the water that leaks in. I still want to get this problem fixed, also.. when I turn the fan on, a couple drops will comes out from the same area, i'm guessing it's the blower motor(?). Anyways, if anybody has an idea of where I should start my search for this leak, back of engine compartment? how should I find it? Where does the blower motor meet the environment? it would be much appreciated.

When this was happening to me, it tured out to be one of the screws in the "gutter" below the windshield. It would drip into my fan blower.

Flood the gutter with a garden hose and see if you can spot where it comes in. In my case the screw just needed some silicone to seal everything up nice.

Thanks, i'll check there. Is the area you're talking about behind the fan blower? Basically, I would assume I need to remove the fan blower and find the leak..

There are also two hoses,One in each Pillar of the Windshield, that Run from the Corners of the sunroof Through the pillars and supposedly to the "Ground"..If One of those hoses are Broke, then you may get Water in the car,somehow..(there are also Two more that are on the rear part of the Sunroof, and Two more at the Back of the car,in the corners of the Crease of the Hatch,On the body).

Are you sure it's just water? There are coolant lines running under there for the heater.

Nah, i'm positive it's just water. I recently had to fix a coolant leak so i've checked all that.
