Pass. powr window doesnt go up. switch and motor are good
yesterday both windows went up and down fine. today its different. well I can make the passenger side window go DOWN from either that pass or drivers side eassily, but neither will bring them back up. I can jump the motor and it goes back up just fine.
I checked the pass side switch as the FSM instructed, all of the continuities check out.
could the drivers side switch be the problem

Man, I have all kinds of window problems. The switch I have now works perfectly, but it looks like it's not for a FC, not sure which gen it came off of, but it works.
I have two other spare switches lying around, none works completely. For example, I bought one from a forum member, stating that it works perfectly, but when I plug it into mine, it will operate the driver's side just fine, but passenger side will not go up. Weird.
Anyways, sorry it's not the same problem, but just wanted to mention that many people have window problems.

Re: window
I'm not sure if this is the best idea, but it worked for me in a similiar situation. I sprayed contact cleaner into the switch while the car was off and moved the switch up and down a few times. Then I wiped it off, had a smoke while it dried, and rolled up the window. A can of the stuff costs $10 (more or less) at any radio shack or hardware store. Just ask for it by name.
Again, i'm not sure if this is the best idea. It worked for me and the only thing is, it might not get all the crud the first time around, so you might have to do it a few times to make it stick.

Bad drivers door switch contact. Fix the drivers door switch and it wuill work again.
Drivers door switch provides the return ground for the passenger's switch.
If the pass door switch works at least one direction, the passenegers switch is good.

^ by fix you just mean clean it up right?
its usually dirty contacts from what i've read before ... get some electrical cleaner stuff and clean it?
my passenger window wont go up from the drivers switch, but works fine on the passenger switch ... i assume its just a dirty contact on the drivers side ...

So from what I have read the source of the problem is in the drivers switch somewhere? whats the fix?

There usually are multiple problems, leading to the switch failing (they are the weak links).
Yes, contact cleaning the contacts should help or completely fix the issue (depending on how bad the switch is). But the arc'd contacts often also are worn down, providing another ***** in the chain with a poor contact. You can put some new solder in (ideally silver solder if you can get it- rosen core 60/40 if you can't) and then smooth down the contact to make the contact location level again.
But then there is the motor and tracks. The tracks get pretty dirty and gummed up as well- forcing the motor to work rather hard- forcing more current to be drawn through the switch- overloading the switch again.
So with any switch repair both switches should be cleaned and checked, and the tracks should be cleaned, lubed and adjusted so that the window moves through like a knife through butter. That will keep the switches working longer and better.
