Parting questions

Well, I have decided to sell my s4 n/a base and move on to a turbo. The only problem I'm having is setting a price, and the harsh reality of how much the car is really worth. I have put about 3500+ into the car.

Now I was wondering if the other 2nd gen guys could help me out. Do I sell it as a whole or should I strip it and sell parts individually? My friends told me I would get more if I sell it parts wise, so I'm not sure what to do. I want to get the most out of the car, so I can buy a very nice TII.

So I will list my mods, and let me know what you would do in this situation.

s5 front and rear bumpers
s5 mirrors
All emissions removed, no cats(this what I think is going to hurt me)
Full RB exhaust, from the motor to the back
KYB adjustable shocks
RB springs
Mazdatrix short throw
Stage 3 clutch
16" 5zigen rsx-6 rims w/ ventus tires(less than 500 miles on them)
Recently painted white
About $400 in the stereo
cone filter
Autometer gauges in custom pod above stereo

Also, Motor has about 130,xxx miles on it and good compression. Tranny was replaced with one with about 90,000 miles and the beefy drive shaft.

Just testing the waters to see what I shoud do. I posted this in the 2nd gen section because only the 2nd gen guys would really appreciate the mods.

I hate to see a nice looking and running car parted out. On the other hand, it's the way you'll get the most cash out of it, if you don't count the time it takes to dismantle it.

I say, buy the TII, swap everything you like off of the old car, then sell it whole. I think it's better to keep a whole car in circulation.

I would hate to see it in pieces. I would love for someone to take it as is, because it would be a nice start. But everyone around here seems to think I wouldn't even get $3000 for it and I've put well more into that thing.

You would definitely get more from parting it out, unfortunately, though it is more time consuming and space consuming.
