Part finding: door handle, and other issues

Anyone know where to get an interior door handle for an 89 TII? My friend snapped mine and now the door wont open from the inside. Very annoying.

*sigh* I really like this car but I'm getting a little depressed/overwhelmed by all its little quirks.... door handle, low idle, my friend Jef thinks it has a small oil leak, the passenger seatbelt refuses to work properly, intermittent power lock function... I'm having trouble getting it to run in a fuel efficent manner... I went about 300 miles on a tank of gas two days ago (about 50/50 city/highway), getting into the boost on regular occasions, and now I'm having trouble getting anywhere near that efficency. *sigh*

Damn, Christmas is stressful, eh? I think thats the root of the problem...

I dunno. I love the car... I'm happy to spend time in the shop fixing its problems to bring it back up to near 100% functionality, but... its stressful.

Anyways, later for now.

Try a junkyard first. But if you can't find some handles try www.mazdatrix.com
lotsa stock parts, cheaper than straight from mazda
good luck, and please keep the car ;-)
You know you love it!

Your in luck with that seat belt. I am asuming your talking about the electrical seatbelt. They are covered by a LIFETIME warrenty. If they ever break Mazda has to replace them!

My '91 TII has gotten a new motor Nice of them to put new expensive mazda parts in there at there expense.

Stop by a dealer and tell them about your seat belt and you believe it is under recall.

You may be closer to your 100%.

Before my engine blew my stock car was getting 16 city and 21 highway. My '86 Base gets 21 city and 25 highway. Those numbers seem to be average.

Door handle at the junque yard...five bucks and probably less. In the meantime take the one off the passenger side and put it on your side.
