Parking brake to tight??

ok heres the deal I bought a TII and the brakes were shot, parking brake still held well though.

Did the brakes and now my idiot light for the parking brake is on while I drive.

If I get on the brakes hard it almost feels as if the rears want to lock up first and the parking brake handle engauges alot earlyer than before, I just assumed this was because of the new pads.

could the parking brake be to tight??? like some one adjusted it tighter when the brakes started getting bad ?

I wish I had that problem. My parking brake does nothing still.

It could be something else in the system too. I'd check your fluid, and for good measure bleed the system at all four corners (I've always done this once a year anyways for good measure).

The parking/hand brake should engage between 4 and 7 clicks, if it is engaging before that, then either it is out of adjustment or jammed up in the rear.
