Painting Side Mirror DIY

Anyone paint any parts of their car with spray paint??? I need my drivers side mirror painted and seems like such a waste of $$$ to take it to a body shop.

for a small part like that spray paint should be fine. Just make sure you mask off the parts you don't want painted really well than scuff up the old paint with a red 3M scuff pad so that there are no shiney parts left, or the paint will not stick also make sure to clean it with a degreaser before you paint, I'm pretty sure you can pick up some brands of spary paint in 2 stage base coat/ clear coat, that is what I would recommend.

I painted my door mirrors with Duplicolor Sunrise Red spray paint (found at most auto parts stores), It matches close enough and has a good shine.

i used plasti-color red on my mirrors, matches almost perfectly to sunrise red and buffs up to a high gloss shine.
