Painting New Exhaust - Worth it?

I recently purchased a new RB exhaust and Bonez SuperFlo catback. In transit, the package got banged around pretty badly. The muffler cans and exhaust pipes were not dented (fortunately) but were scratched in some places, and the black paint on the exhaust has been chipped off in those areas. The Bonez SuperFlo is silver colored already so its hard to tell but I think it got its paint dinged a bit too.

I just don't want these things to rust out on me in the next few years (3-5, is that reasonable?). If I was totally concerned I'd probably have bought more expensive exhaust components, but I didn't because in a few years I hope to have a turbo in this car anyway, which would require a new exhaust regardless. So in the interim I'd like it to be very nice, as befits a new exhaust.

So the question is: should I repaint the exhaust with high-temp paint or is it not worth the trouble?

Thanks!

Sure. Match up the color and go ahead and spray them. I have an 89TII I purchased new, and every now and then I clean the mufflers and spray them flat black. They are still the factory mufflers. Just makes them look a little better.
