Painting my car

Anyone know of any online guides on painting a car? I recently just primered my car and I'm wondering if i should wet sand the primer before i throw on the actual paint or just wet sand in the end. Its a Stage I paint job.

I would have dry-sanded using 400 grit... What grit paper did you use? Anything above 600 grit would be a bad idea for adherence of your color-coat.

Anything you don't fix on the primer will show through. Sand it now, and fix any imperfections that remain after that. Plus it needs to be rough enough to allow adhesion, regardless of what you put on top of it.

F*** i hope i didn't do it too smoooth. hahahaha, I did 800 grit. Whatever. . . I'll find out tomorrow when i shoot the color coat on. I'll post up pix of it when its done. I have some body damage still on my back rear quarter panel and i still need to find a new front passenger side fender. Anyone know where I can get one? Or anyone selling one? The junkyards in socal don't have any for me that are in good condition.

I have a passenger side fender. Great shape. $65 shipped

But about the painting.... 800 grit should be fine, I have used up to 1000 grit before painting and the acrylic enamel will stick to just about anything..lol.
