painting the 7

thinking about painting the 7 a blue to red camilion paint.

my question is, anyone know how much paint is used to paint our vehicles?

would be nice to do that and add some pearls in there too at the end.

would be a good time to get those dent and dinks out and also do some body mods .

let me know

Very cool color idea I used a full gallon of primer, nearly 3/4th of a gallon of base coat and a full gallon of clearcoat (all of those include all of the hardners/activators/whatever else was nessisary for that paint). But I did a COMPLETE color conversion (except for the interior), engine bay, door jams, hatch jams, etc. There's lots of good info on painting your car, and we even discussed some of the equipment and costs over in this thread. : https://www.rx7club.com//showthread.php?threadid=315662
Started by Russ, but lots of people (myself included) chimed in with good advice.

Do you mean the Chrome-illusion type paint that changes color in relation to the viewing angle? If so, please don't do that to your poor RX.

Although I've only seen the purple green paint on a FC, I think the red-blue Chromis(sp?) paint would look pretty cool. Personally, I've always wanted to take a gloss black car, and do a cool design in chromis across it, maybe a tribal knot or something.. I think that would be neat..

That said, I'm a heavy metalflake kinda guy, But I still think it'll look good Besides it's good to be different, especially when different is so DAMN SEXY
