Thx..no, im ditchign the centercap, already sold those =X...Anyways, yeah, i did it myself, i used a wire wheel brush to on the lip, to get that film of protectant **** off of there, then i sanded the lip with 220grit, 440grit, 600grit, then 1000grit sandpaper, then i used mothers aluminum polish on it to give it a nice shine, Next, after cleaning the spokes with a wirebrush, i sanded them with 400grit, taped everything off (requires some patience), primered it, painted it, clear coated it. I used your generic primer (find it at schucks) for paint/clearcoat, i used none other than duplicolor

AWESOME, im going to purchase a set of infini wheels and do as you did, I just think that looks SOOO nice.

and yes someone could definitely only powdercoat the middle portion if you have it professionally done, which is what I plan on doing.

They do look good, but like when I mounted 'vert wheels on the front of my car (I use S5 TII's in the rear) they looked just a bit small. That's what I was going for, but I don't know about you.

I used 400grit to sand down the part i painted, i used some regular old primer you can buy at schucks, i gave three coats of black (duplicolor), and 2 coats of clear (also duplicolor).

I do the same process but I find that you really need to bake this paint on for it to stick. I have one wheel almost done but the polishing takes forever. I can powder coat in 2 hours. I spend about 4 hours per wheel just on sanding and polishing. And yeah don't try and do anything witht he center caps. Powder coat will not stick and spray paint sure as **** would last one drive in the rain over plastic.

Wow! Do you have any more pix such as with the rims mounted?

With sanding the painted areas, how come you didn't go up into a finer rated sandpaper when you sanded them down like you did for the lip?

Sorry I had to bite off you but I got the rims for a good deal! You inspired me. I still need to polish the lips though.
