Just curious how much a new paint job on a 88 GXl would be, its white, want to change it to black

anywhere from 20 bucks to 10k dollars. It all depends on what you want. Usually its in the 1 or 2k dollar range for a whole car.

It depends on how nice of a pain job you want. If you're incredibly cheap, you can get one of those $199 paint jobs, but those are really crappy. I would think a good paint job would run you 1-2k, but ask at a local paint/body shop for exact prices.

you can't ask this question to a professional -- they can't answer. that's like asking how much it will cost to fix an engine a mechanic hasn't seen. gonna have to take it to a few shops and have them give you a quote.

i'm curious to what all was required to do a homemade paint job. my friend's dad own a paint & body shop, but they've been extremely busy, and now i'm back in school and wouldn't have a way to get to the shop and back.

I was a HELL of alot of work. Do a search for my name, and paint ... you should come up with a coupel of topics where I discussed it. read the newer threads... I just inish my paint job a couple of months go.
