paint gone near turbo..question

so my motor is out and the heat from the turbo peeled away the paint in that area of the engine bay. it has some rust on it but nothin serious that cant be sanded away. im not interested in painting the whole bay im just wondering how i should treat this area. what type of paint? etc. what steps should i take

I'm sure the turbo heat has something to do with it, but I would say it's probably mostly brake fluid leaking off your ABS block. I just sanded mine and used some pretty heavy duty out door paint I got from home depot.

ive always had luck with rustoleum. if you want, www.paintscratch.com has spraypaint cans in stock colors. i would just sand down the area, making sure to get all the rust off and then spray it. That is, if its just surface rust, if its deeper than surface, the only remedy is to cut out the cancer and weld in replacement metal.

lol, exact same thing happened to me, but on the master cylinder side! I was pulling my engine anyway, so I went at it with a wire wheel, a steel brush, and will repaint it with 500*F hi temp paint.
