p/s rack to manual rack?

p/s rack to manual rack?

is it possible 2 convert a power steering rack 2 a manual steer rack? i no u would have 2 take out the lines and plug them up but were would u get the bushings or w/e u get and were would they go?

if you just plug the lines you will have pressure in the system, it wont feel good.

I ran the hoses from the steering rack fittings, right to a catchcan of sorts, like a reservoir. this has some P/S fluid in it. this allows the fluid to flow thru the lines and the rack is not powered and acts like a manual rack.


steering feel / feedback is not as good as if I had a manual rack but the ratio is "better" for me with this setup.

because the manual rack is smaller in diameter, it gives you much better clearance for the LS1 V8 oilpan... if you care.
