p/s knocking. need help
well after a race with a cobra. i got off the freeway and noticed a knocking sound in my engine.yay. i go and investigate and its my power steering. the main pully that drives the pump is knocking. i was thinking a broken bearing or something. anyone have any ideas

haha same thing happened to me when I was rolling it out of the garage yesturday-- it was the inner-fenderwell falling off the fender and rubbing... jumping across the tire tread. Sounded horrid. Either way, I've got a manual rack on its way...

Same thing happened to my Cosmo and it turned out the shaft spline had been almost totally ground away, and the pulley was loose on the shaft (wobbling and knocking) as a result. Never did figure out why it happened.
