Overheating and Spewing!
Yesterday afternoon, after driving, I could smell coolant. I searched for leaks and found nothing. Later on that night, I was watching my temp gauge and it started rising. I pulled over and say steam spewing out from under the driver's side of the intake manifold. It was too dark to tell what it was coming from, and I am about to start work on it right now, but has this happened to anyone else?

its happened to me before, check your heater hoses and other stuff involving the cooling system. I am not one for giving good explanation, so i'll leave it to someone as informative as ReTed or Hailers to answer it... or anyone else for that matter.

There is an almost unreachable hose between the intake and the firewall and just slightly to the driver's side of center. With a little luck and a long long long nosed set of pliers you may be just lucky enough to be able to reattach it in about an hour . . . as long as you have a lot of experience in tearing the top end down. Don't forget to reattach all the vacuum hoses.
