Are you sure about that? My understanding was that they're the same for s4 and s5 except for the connector. Doesn't your line to the overflow come out below the cap on the thermostat housing?

positive my line comes out of the radiator from the coolent level sensor. all i have is a cap on the thermostat housing nothing else no place for a line to come off of it. i could get pics if you wanna see. but im thinking i may take the coolent level sensor from my parts car(it doesnt have the line coming off of it) and put that on there.

Another possibility is the fan clutch. When the air gets hot as it flows over the fan it makes the fan turn faster and cool the radiator. I replaced my fan and shroud with an electric fan/ thermostatic switch. It works great and was about $70.00 cheaper that the replacement fan clutch.

Sounded like the Rad cap. That's what it was on mine. Every rime I would park I would come back to a puddle of coolant on the ground. Since your in a hot place like me go 70/30.
The only reason we need coolant is to prevent corosion(SP?).

Water wetter does wonders too. It dropped my temps about 10 degrees(I had an aftermarket temp gauge so its not a guess).

From what I understand the coolant does change the boiling characteristics of the water. making it higher.
But pressurizing the system is what mainly raises the boiling point of the water.

My car runs at about 1/3 on the stock gauge. It's 0% humidity here so it's a bastards on the engine. I probably need a new radiator or have mine cleaned.

yea i have a fiero fan but i cant figure out how to hook the damn thing up. its just one of the many things i have to put on /do to my car that hasn been copleated yet. yea ive seen the watter wetter stuff just havent used it yet i think ill use it on a nicer car. but yea i changed my thermostat, flushed my radiator, changed the radiator cap, changed the coolent to about 25/75, and switched mt whole setup from the tube to the overflow coming out the radiator to it coming out the rad cap on the stem to the water pump, and swiched the coolent level sensor so i did alot of crap. i felt like switching how it was setup because i thought it was pretty stupid how it was before.
