Overheating on hot starts
Like the title says, my car (88' N/A) is overheating only on hot starts. Normally only happens when I take it for a short drive, just long enough to get the car warmed up, then turn it off. Come back an hour or so later, and start it back up. The car warms back up quickly since it hasn't had time to cool off, but then it keeps rising, usually to about halfway up the gauge, then falls back down to normal.
Yesterday though, after coming back from the store, I was driving a little more spirited than normal, but nothing crazy. Shifting before 3k, and the highest the tach got was 4k during a down shift. A minute later I notice the temp gauge is 3/4 of the way up, so after a brief panic, I turn it off and check the engine. Everything looks good, no leaks, the overflow tank is normal, ect. So after letting it sit for a few minutes, I turn it back on and drive the last half mile to my place, and on the way it drops back down to normal.
I tried searching, but there are so many overheating threads it'd hard to find one that answers my question. So any help would be appreciated.

Do you have the plastic undertray on your FC? This helps cool the engine at speed by directing air into the rad. Also check to see if youve got air bubbles in your rad.
