Overheating

What causes a Turbo ll engine to overheat? Can it be fixed? I'm looking at one selling for 1500 Canadian dollars, is it worth to fix? Turbo ll's usually go for about 6000 to 8000 here.

Overheating is so generic, you could search for hours and still not be able to find the root of the problem...
Common things to check: oil pump and lines, radiator/water pump/thermostat/lines, fan/clutch/thermostat. If these are OK, then check the A/C fan, the oil cooler, or the engine itself for leaks. If you still havent found the problem, then you should take the engine apart...
