overheating ?

A little question here folks. I blew my rear rotor about 2 1/2 months ago. I never had a cooling problem before my engine blew, I am not leaking coolent either. Now when I start my car(it still starts pretty easy), it starts overheating after running only 10-15 min. It it really bugging me becuase I would like to drive my car over the garage where I am going to stick my new engine in.
I am just wonder if anyone had any idea what this could be. The only ideas I have right now is the my thermostat died on me, or my pressure caps are gone, or I have a clog in my system. Do any of these sound likely. I with it overheating could I possible damage any of my other engine components,(I dont really car about the engine). Again this is just bugging me, and I am hoping it is nothing more than this.

On a side note, I belive I know why my engine blew. My cats were cloged, what sucks was I had brand new OEM cats readdy to be put on. Also now after I shut my car off, I can hear an "boiling, hissing" sound from my cats.

finaly, should it, is there a way to clean my oil cooler?

Thanks. sorry for the long post

Take out the thermostat. And any place that does rad pressure flushes can do your oil cooler. And gut your cat for now until the new motor gets put in if you have a replacement.

Are you saying you're trying to drive it with a blown engine?

yeah, I want to drive it to the garage. If the engine wont overheat on me I wpould like to do that. I have no acceleration but it will still drive. I was able to drive it right after it blew around the block, kinda hard though becuase you have to keep the engine above 2k or it will die on you.

Mostly I wanted to know if I could be damaging anything else in other than my blown engine. I do think it is the thermo or something easy like that, becuase my water pump is not leaking fluid. I plan on replacing the caps, and thermo and pressure cleaning my radiator, and hopefully cleaning my oil cooler.

I'm pretty sure it's normal for a blown engine to overheat. You probably wouldn't hurt anything like that, but another 50 bucks compared to what you've already had to pay is worth not having to worry about it, in my opinion.
