Overheated Engine
Before anything is said, yes i did search and everything i looked at wasnt what i wanted.
Anyway, I found an 87 rx7 for sale. I talked to the guy and he said he didnt know if it need a new engine or not, but he explained that he was driving it and a water hose came off. Apparently he cooked the engine. I was wondering if it would be too hard to rebuild it, and what it would need. I know if you overheat a piston engine, it could just need a head gasket, etc., but i dont really know what all you would need for a rotary engine.
Id appreciate some help on this subject.
Thanks

It could just need new coolant jacket o-rings, but thats a best case senario and requires a rebuild, rebuild would be about 800 dollars bare minimum if you do it yourself which isnt to difficult if you have the tools space and know how.
