Question Over heating question

This morning when I was going to work I noticed my water heating gague went to the top of the peg. I hadn't driven during the weekend. I continued to drive it and the temperature came back to the normal position. This has happend a couple of times. I know I need a new fan cluch. This only happens in the morning and never in the evening.

I thought it might be a stuck thermostat.

Any thoughts?

I have no idea. But i would get it looked at ASAP. Overheating (if it really is) and Rotary engines == bad.
