Ordered S4 Gasket set as S5 Gasket sets are NLA and ...

Since S5 Gasket set for NA is NLA. (8DF5-10-271)

So I bought S4 Gasket NA set (8DF1-10-271A) simply because Mazda said S4 Gasket will still work.

86-88 GASKET SET If intake and exhaust gaskets don't matter, then this is the set to use, even for 89-92. Use turbo kit, 8DF4-10-271 only if turbo gaskets are necessary. Otherwise, this kit will still work.

but I have a feeling something is missing.

I got the kit yesterday (finally), so far I noticed that OMP seal missing which I know in the beginning cuz its different between S4 and S5. I have to order that.

what else am I missing ? hmm. just wanna order everything before I even start the rebuild (most parts already out, just need to pick the engine out, maybe some time next week)

thx

S4 and S5 waterpumps do not interchange, so the S4 gasket won't work for you.

Consider replacing the three thermostat housing cover bolts with studs (ones identical to those on the pulley hub would work nicely).
Use anti-seize.
Pat self on back.
