options?
i recently picked up a 1988 rx-7 gxl and have a few questions.short of a motor swap what can be done for some more power?im not looking for a monster but just would like to add some more power in hopes of getting it sideways a little easier.mods to the car as of now are:
gp sports gr-6 coilovers
megan racing strut tower bar
all emissions removed from engine
custom air intake
spec stage 3 clutch w/ ss clutch line
kaaz lsd
i do plan on doing a JIC magic exhaust system.does anyone know where sells a decent header for the fc rx7 naturally aspirated?and what other bolt ons are there to add some more power...if any?i know its limited...thanks in advance for any and all information

you can't get sideways it the way it is?? You need to fix your car and then modify it.
search for Beefy N/A.
If you're ported then go with the RB Collected header
If you're on stock ports then go with the RB True Dual header
Please search before posting again. There are many threads on this subject.

The biggest place to gain power is the cat, followed by the mufflers.
Search: 5th and 6th ports. You need to activate them somehow when you put on a new exhaust. They produce just as much power as a good exhaust, so if they stop working thanks to your exhaust, your net gain will be zippo.
As for headers:
Also see www.rx7.com for high flow cats and see Racing Beat FAQ for legal info on them.

If you have no intentions of installing our Holley intake System (or any other aftermarket carb set-up), we recommend the use of the Cat Replacement pipe/Presilencer combo since it offers a slightly quieter exhaust note, is easier to install and less costly. If you are intending to upgrade the intake or fuel injection system, the Header/Presilencer combo offers the greatest performance potential.
