Opinions on TII exhausts

I've got an 88 TII, right now the it's got the exhaust that the last owner put on it, which includes a downpipe, highflow cat, and I believe a RP "performance cat back exhaust". I like the sound most of the time, but it gets to be a bit much if I'm crusin on the HW for awhile.

So I'm looking for a new cat back, preferably one that is SS, single tip, and not too loud. Am I asking for too much ?

hi, i have a apexi n1 catback for my car, dp and straight pipe also..
it's loud...but after 1 yr driving it...
the noise does not bother me at all, actually i want louder...

well maybe u will get used to it...
actually i haven't heard the noise of RB exhuast...but they should sound pretty nice

if i were u i wouldn't really spend money to replace the exhuast because u think it's too loud..RB exhuast is very sweet..and good quality...

good luck

Rust

My biggest concern with my cucent exhaust is living in mass, it got a bait of tarnish and rust going, am I going to run into a probelm with the "aluminzed mild steel" rusting out eventually, or is it supposed to look like this?

hm...i think my apexi n1 is SS at the muffler section, but the pipe has titianium paint (purple)
well definitely the n1 is loud, and my exhuast is not shiny anymore due to the heat and backfire..

i don't clean my exhuast tip and muffler and stuffs...
here's a pic of the a one yr used N1 single..

tip is kinda gray black...and i love it...gives a titianium look..

i've had the N1 single on my n/a for 2 years now. its seen a little bit of snow...but not that much. everytime i clean the car i make sure i spray water underneath it to get some grime off, and then i polish the muffler each time with chrome polish. the catback still looks new. its held up brilliantly. no signs of rust at all. looks as clean as the day i got it. the purple particle paint is duller...but thats about it. plus there is a silencer available for it, to tone down the noise

I know you wanted single tip, but I can vouch for the Borla dual tip. It's a nice (unpolished) T304 stainless, not much louder than stock in my opinion.

I like it so much I ordered on for my 01 F150 SuperCrew also.
