so I was playing with my fuel pump wiring in the trunk today. checking over my rewire stuff to make sure it was staying intack since I hadn't looked at it in 2 years.

I ended up cuting one wire and moved it a bit and reconnected it.

so then I went to test it. I stuck a paper clip into the fuel pump jumper under the hood. and turned the key. and no pump...

so siting in the trunk going over the wiring. everything is good. but no 12v power to pump.

so I'm in the back again. taking apart wraped wires to try to figure out what the hell went wrong. probing different wires with the volt meter. checking the under hood and foot fuses. trying to figure out why I can't get 12v to the pump.

finaly 1-2 hours later (now dark and I gota drive to work in the morning) I walked to the front of the car and wiggled the paper clip I had used to jumper the pin in the front. and the stupid pump turned on!!

one of those moments where you wana scream

same happened to me but i didnt press in the clutch all the way, almost had to tow the 7 home.

Dude, make a proper jumper wire with teminals!

 

I don't know about you, but I hate my car equally every day. It's either popping a hole in the radiator line, a vac leak, or random squeeks and squeels, it seems to have randomized the above events and picks a new one each day, can't ever track them down because they change so often!

Edit: Ahh now I'm screwed, talkin **** about the car on my 4000th post, rx7 gods are going to really love that one
