The COVER is in the FAQ thread.
Aw, shucks, someone has faster fingers than I do!
ROOM FUSE! Feeds the items in the jpg attached. Which one? Got me. OR it could be a bad aftermarket install of ?????radio? gauge? whatever.
JKP wins again.

yea, but some of the other wiring is all messy, and possibly not hooked up right for proper usage, i'll try the fuse in a min, but i'm still not getting warning lights on the guage cluster when the ignition is on, the starter doesnt turn either...
The items on the top row of your fuse box are not ignition switch related, so they SHOULD work. The row where the room fuse is.
Turning the key to ON powers the next two rows of fuses down from the room fuse etc. Last row is Aux.
The ignition switch has wires that are referred to as the ignition switch pigtail. They have connnectors on them located about a foot fwd of the ignition switch. ONe plug has two wires. One wire is pure BLACK and the other wire Black/White. The pure BLACK powers the ignition key/switch. It comes from the engine bay fuse box. The MAIN fuse powers it. The MAIN FUSE is bolted in with two small bolts. See if the MAIN FUSE (did I mention main fuse?) is any good or not. IF it is GOOD, then there is a single wire, black wire, connector, about a half foot below and inboard of the engine bay fuse box. See if it's still plugged in.......or not.
The second jpg, is a airman fifth class checking out the canopy rocket motors. The first jpg is a Thunderbird pilot doing an ejection demonstation at a air show. Heeee, hee.
Canopy rocket motors work fine in each application. Canopy be gone.
If you have a meter, you can see if the wire to the ignition key is powered up easily. Just go to the large output wire on the alternator and see if it's got batt power on it or not. It is spliced to the wire going to the ignition switch. So if one has batt pwr the other should have batt pwr.
SIMPLE ANSWER: Your ignition switch is getting no power from the engine bay fuse box.

So fix the short or find the short. Use the jpgs I attached.
I'd try to find the reason the ignition key does not have power. That seems more important than a few lights not working.
Just in case: the ROOM fuse has nothing at all to do with the ignition key not working. Nothing at all. Zip.
