MO OMP Shaft Removal Question

Hey everybody, me and a few buddies had a question in regards to OMP deletion. Specifically removing the OMP shaft in the front cover. We were wanting to weld in the channel the OMP shaft goes into to lower the chance of oil leaks at the block off plate. But when I look closer I notice there is an opening in the channel that leads out to more oil channels that to me looks like it goes to the front oil cooler line port. Am I correct in this? If the OMP shaft channel is welded up, would that cut off the oil flow for the oil cooler line? Pics for reference.

Ok after messing around with my cover I have a bit more, I've confirmed that those channels I've circled do NOT go to the front oil cooler port on the cover. So I'm guessing we should be safe to weld off the channel the OMP shaft went through without any issues or possible cause of damage to the engine.
