Well, heres an idea.

Before anything else, do a compression check. Stupid not to.

If it checks out (90+), then just eh..recreate the situation. Start the car up in your driveway, and let it warm up. Waste until it smokes again, and just find the source.

you said it was very cold outside? cars exhaust make some serious condensation in the form of clouds. might be white but its smells like normal exhaust.

there is chance then that nothing is wrong. but do the compression test first.

well the only thing is see what happens. but remember in the really cold weather, the smoke can be exaggerated by condensation.

alright well i checked the Apex's those are fine. if its not the Coolant Seals and its not the Apex seals why the **** is my car smoking..? if i do not hit the gas and let it idle.. it will not smoke besides normal exhaust steam.. but if i rev the motor thats when it starts to smoke.. then i let off and it smokes for a second then it stops smokeing.. ??? wth? im soo confused.

Your turbo seal might be failing causing it to smoke every time you give it gas.

You should have gotten your injectors serviced before dropping the engine in. Send em in to www.witchhunter.com

Alas... someone with a similar problem as I have... lol I am running a carb, and when i start it up, depending on the day, time and position of the car (i think) massive smoke blows out like thick like u cant see your hand infront of you thick. Smells like massive exhaust + oil. Not to mention white. But i drive it down the block and let it decel from 4k-5k rpm to 2k, and it clears and im good. I dont lose coolant, I dont lose oil. I premix, and only 8 oz to 14.xx gallons. (i use to follow the 1oz to 1 gallon rule, man it smoked alot more.... ALOT more. it have died down alot since i went with the 8oz to 14gallon, usually a very light blue tint and foggy smoke.)

I just think it is because of water, serious water may be building up in my tail pipe. It just suddenly happened one day, and i thought i blew my seals starting the car in a rainy day, very rainy. not even cold. I couldnt see half my house. that is how scary it was the first time i saw it.

Ok. You did a proper compression test? As in..compression TESTER (not poorman's)? A poorman's compression test will give you a general idea of how the apex seals are doing, while a real compression test will let you know if your missing any of the coolant or oil seals (compression will be lower than usual, but no power loss).

I don't think it's your turbo oil seals, as if it was, it would be smoking continuously. If its pulsating, as you describe, look into the fuel injectors. Perhaps its sticking, hence why it isn't blue *all* the time.

IF the compression test (real) came back GOOD (90+ psi), you should do a full top-end workover of the engine. All new gaskets, cleaned fuel injectors w/ new atomizers and o-rings, new fuel lines, thermostat, etc. if you haven't already done it. This will eliminate almost every single variable to what could be going wrong externally. Well er, also..make sure your SAFC2 is set correctly.

That's all I can think of right now :|

i seriously doubt that your coolant froze overnight

ethelyne glycol is protection down to a pretty low temp, if it was in a decent concentration (and not ancient) that wouldnt happen

try to figure out if it was your coolant seals
