OMG I think i really hurt my motor

I was pulling off my primary injectors today to get them cleaned. After I got them out I noticed that one of the pintle caps had a chip taken out of it.

It then occured to me, that the air bleed socket was open on the sides. Reallity sank in, and I realized that that chip had fallen into the combustion chamber.

It was a little chip but could that have royally fucked up my rotor, or the housing, or both? I think I might have found the cause to my motor problems.

What is your motor doing?

That crappy mazda plastic is old baked and brittle, so it is no suprise that it broke off and fell in. But I don't think it could have hurt anything, because it would have burned very fast on the combustion, and exhaust stroke (if you want to call them strokes )

But at worst I think it would have made your car smoke for a second while burning it off, then again it may have melted in one of the apex grooves, but it should still burn out.

I havent been following your threads but did this "chip" fall off while you were taking off the injector or did you take off the injectors in search of your engine problems.

Sorry to hear the bad news and good luck.

I took the injectors out because a I'm having flooding problems along with running way too rich. When I pulled the injector out I noticed that there was a chip missing. So I must have happned some time ago. Either way a cracked pintle cap with a chip taken out of it cant be doing any good. That might explain some of my problems
